Amy’s 12 month mini session was the perfect mix of calm and chaos and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She may not have flashed a ton of smiles, but honestly? She didn’t need to. With those big eyes, perfect features, and curious expressions, Amy gave us pure perfection in every shot.
Her big sister Elsa joined us too, and it brought everything full circle. I photographed Elsa as a newborn three years ago, and seeing her again as a confident, sweet big sister reminded me just how fast time flies. I always say it moves quickly with my own kids, but with my little clients? Somehow it goes even faster.

Let’s be real…12 month olds are ninja fast. They’re newly mobile, super curious, and totally uninterested in sitting still. But that’s part of the fun. I’ve got my baby “jails” (aka cozy setups to safely contain a squirmy toddler), plus my tried and true wooden blocks that show up at just about every milestone session. These sessions are quick, fun, and filled with personality, even when baby is a little more serious like Amy was.
