Capturing Love and Laughter: Easton’s 6-Month Milestone Session with a Proud Marine Family

There’s something so special about capturing milestones for families who have served our country, and this session was no exception. Easton’s 6-month session was full of love, laughter, and just a tiny bit of hard work on my part (more on that in a second). Both of his parents are Marines, and as a proud Marine family myself—my father-in-law is also a Marine—this session hit close to home. It’s always an honor to work with families who have given so much, and I couldn’t be more grateful to capture these moments for them.

Now, let’s talk about this baby. I mean, look at him! He’s so cute it’s almost unfair. But here’s the thing about the extra-cute ones—they make me WORK for those smiles. It’s like they just know I’ll do whatever it takes to get the perfect shot. And let me tell you, I did. From silly noises to ridiculous faces, I pulled out all the stops. But when that big, gummy grin finally came through? Totally worth it. Every. Single. Time.

This session wasn’t just about the baby, though. I suppose mom and dad were pretty cool too. Watching them snuggle their little guy, laugh together, and soak in these fleeting moments was such a joy. You can see the love they have for each other in every photo, and it’s a reminder of why I do what I do. These aren’t just pictures—they’re memories that will last a lifetime. Dad kissing Easton’s little piggies is probably my favorite shot of the whole session.

To this amazing family: thank you for trusting me to capture this milestone. And thank you for your service and sacrifice. It was an honor to work with you, and I can’t wait to see how this little guy grows (and maybe makes me work even harder for those smiles at his next session). He will probably be as tall as me at his one year session!
