Let me tell you, when Eyla’s parents walked into their newborn session months ago with a box of donuts, I knew we were going to get along just fine. Fast forward to Eyla’s 6-month milestone session, and guess what? They showed up with another dozen. At this point, I’m not sure if I’m more excited to see their adorable baby or the donuts. (Okay, it’s both. Definitely both.)
Eyla, on the other hand, made us work for those smiles. I mean, look at her—she’s absolutely precious, but she had her serious face on for most of the session. I’m convinced she was holding out for a donut of her own. Can you blame her?
The Session: A Mix of Sweetness and Sass
Eyla came dressed to impress in the most adorable outfits, complete with ruffles and bows. She crawled around like a pro, giving us just enough cuteness to keep us going. But when it came to cracking a smile? Oh, she made us earn it. I pulled out all the stops—silly noises, goofy faces, and even a few dance moves (don’t ask).
And then, just when I thought I’d have to bribe her with one of those donuts, she gave us the biggest, gummy grin. Totally worth it. Every. Single. Time.
Donuts and Dedication
Let’s take a moment to appreciate Eyla’s parents. Not only are they raising this sweet, sassy little girl, but they also know the way to my heart. Showing up with donuts twice? That’s next-level dedication. I’m starting to think we should make this a tradition for every session.
Why I Love Milestone Sessions
Capturing these moments is what I love most about milestone photography. From Eyla’s serious stares to her joyful giggles, every expression tells a story. And seeing her parents light up as they snuggled her? That’s the kind of magic that makes my job so special.
To Eyla’s amazing family: Thank you for trusting me to capture these memories (and for keeping me well-fed). I can’t wait to see how Eyla grows—and maybe share another dozen donuts—at her next session.
